Due to pump shutdown and other reasons, water column disconnection and separation occur in the pipeline, forming negative pressure. The negative pressure then pulls the separated water columns back to cause impact, resulting in column separation and rejoining water hammer. The buffer-type air valve developed by our company features staged exhaust and column separation/rejoining water hammer prevention functions. Equipped with an adjustable buffer device, this valve controls the exhaust of the air valve to achieve staged exhaust, prevent surge water hammer, and avoid column separation and rejoining water hammer. It is a functional air valve suitable for complex water transmission systems.
