Application
The ZYC self-operated differential pressure control valve is composed of a dual-channel automatic regulating valve (which changes the flow resistance) and a controller (divided by a diaphragm into two independent chambers). One chamber is connected to the return water pipeline, and the valve is installed on the return water pipeline during use.
 
The dual-channel automatic regulating valve acts as an actuator, with its operation powered by pressure difference changes between the supply water pressure (P1) and return water pressure (P2). The controller functions as a pressure ratio comparator; its pressure difference value is selected based on the resistance of the controlled heating system, and the spring reaction force in the return water chamber is used to balance the pressure difference between supply and return water. When some users of the controlled heating system adjust the radiators (increasing or decreasing resistance), it causes a change in the circulating flow rate, until the pressure on both sides of the diaphragm rebalances, thus enabling automatic adjustment within the controlled system.
 
The working principle of the ZYC self-operated differential pressure control valve relies on reverse regulation inside the valve body: when the inlet pressure increases, the valve diameter automatically reduces to minimize flow changes (and vice versa). If the valve is installed in reverse, this regulation system will fail. Additionally, the regulating disc (which performs the adjustment) is directional; reverse pressure may even reduce the seal tightness. Since the balancing valve is installed to optimize water supply, there is no "reverse installation scenario"—reverse installation is a human error and should be corrected.
 
As a type of control valve, the balancing valve works by adjusting the gap (i.e., opening) between the valve core and seat to change the flow resistance of the fluid passing through the valve, thereby regulating the flow rate.
