45°/90°/180° Elbow

In the Plumbing, an elbow is a fitting that changes the direction of a pipe run. According to angles, there are three most commonly used types: 45 ° and 90 ° and 180 °. In addition, according to engineering needs, there are also other abnormal angle elbows such as 60 °. The materials of elbows include cast iron, stainless steel, alloy steel, malleable cast iron, carbon steel, non-ferrous metals, and plastics. The methods of connecting to pipes include direct welding (the most commonly used method), flange connection, hot melt connection, electric melt connection, threaded connection, and socket connection. According to production processes, it can be divided into: welded elbows, stamped elbows, push made elbows, cast elbows, butt welded elbows, etc. Other names: 90 degree elbow, right angle bend, love bend, etc.

Product Details

Due to the majority of pipe fittings being used for welding, in order to improve welding quality, the ends are turned into grooves with a certain angle and edges. This requirement is also quite strict, and there are regulations on the thickness of the edges, the angle, and the deviation range. The surface quality and mechanical properties are basically the same as those of pipes. For the convenience of welding, the steel grade of the pipe fittings and the connected pipes is the same.

All pipe fittings must undergo surface treatment, where the oxide scale on the inner and outer surfaces is shot blasted off and then coated with anti-corrosion paint. This is for export needs, and also for the convenience of transportation in China to prevent corrosion and oxidation, all work in this area needs to be done.

The requirement for packaging is that for small pipe fittings, such as exports, a wooden box needs to be made, approximately 1 cubic meter. It is stipulated that the number of elbows in this box cannot exceed one ton. This standard allows for a set, which is a large set with a small set, but the total weight generally cannot exceed 1 ton. For large items y, individual packaging is required, and for items like 24 inches, individual packaging is required. In addition, there is packaging marking, which should indicate size, steel grade, batch number, manufacturer's trademark, etc.

Material: ASTM/ASME A234 WPB, WPC, A403 WP 321-321H ASTM/ASME A403 WP 347-347H, 304-304L-304H-304LN-304N,etc.

Production standards: JIS B2311, ASME/ANSI B16.9, MSS SP-43,D-GD87-1101,GBT 14383,etc.

Seamless elbows have the characteristics of hygiene, non-toxic, light weight, good heat resistance, corrosion resistance, good insulation, good impact resistance, and long service life.

Due to its excellent comprehensive performance, elbows are widely used in basic engineering such as chemical engineering, construction, water supply, drainage, petroleum, light and heavy industries, refrigeration, sanitation, plumbing, fire protection, electricity, aerospace, shipbuilding, etc.
