Butt welding flange

Features:

Butt welding flange (RTJ) is a flange that is welded by aligning the pipe and flange together. The butt joint has a 45 degree groove, so the welding contact surface is larger than the flat welding flange. It is generally used for high-pressure pipelines.

Product Details

Butt welded flanges are generally made by forging or rolling processes. The outer slope of the neck of the welding flange should not exceed 70 °. Strict control of technical parameters during production and welding of butt welded flanges ensures that they can fully play their role and value in production and use. Butt welding flanges require welding on both sides, so welding flanges reduces the occurrence of stress concentration.

From the perspective of welding process, the welding performance of butt welded flanges is relatively good compared to flat welding, and the corrosion of butt welded flanges is relatively small. However, the welding and installation process of the welded flange may be more complex, requiring welding on both sides of the flange.

Application

Butt welding flanges are generally suitable for pipelines with significant fluctuations in pressure or temperature, as well as pipelines with high, high, and low temperatures. They are also suitable for pipelines transporting expensive, flammable, and explosive media.
